My Story

In 2015, my friend invited my husband and I to join him in playing pickleball with a few of his friends. You could see the excitement in his eyes as he talked about how he started playing the game. They got together on Wednesday evenings, so we decided to drop over and try it out. I had such a good time, I continued to join with friends in playing the sport and gradually found that it was a sport that I could actually feel accomplishment. I recently graduated from college with a Bachelors in Kinesiology. That educational experience re-emphasized the importance of engaging in physical exercise, starting from our youth, and continuing well into our senior years. I wanted to combine my love for Pickleball with the desire to help people get some exercise and have fun doing it.
Why the name Victory Pickleball?
I feel like each of us needs personal daily victories for good mental and physical health. Sometimes our lists are long and we do not feel like we have accomplished much, but I think if we look at little things we do as daily personal victories, we will be happier. To me personal daily victories are in 5 special areas; mental, physical, emotional, social, and spiritual. Some of my victories are: learn something new, exercise, laugh, spend time with friends, and prayer. Each of these victories has occurred on the pickleball court for me. Prayer, you ask? Yes, when one of our friends is going through something difficult in their lives, before we part, we have prayed for them. Pickleball provides many personal daily victories and is a wonderful way to start, end or spend a day.

It’s more than winning!

Victory Pickleball’s slogan is “It’s more than winning.” I have felt the Pickleball community is so diverse and yet inclusive and friendly. The comradery, association, and connections with others on and off the court can be so fulfilling. There is also that great feeling of accomplishment you get when you can sustain a series of volleys or dinks with your opponents, or finally make a well-placed shot. It is also as simple as “I got out on the court today, got my heart rate up, had multiple breaths of fresh air, and felt the sunshine or the cool breeze with some good people.” The victories you can get when playing pickleball are more than just winning, it is a personal daily victory. I want the Victory Pickleball brand to convey those feelings to all who are seasoned veterans or newcomers to the sport by wearing the apparel, enjoying the gear, and sharing the accessories. I am so grateful for what pickleball has done for me and my friends and family. I hope our products will bring you joy as you share your love for the sport and our brand can be synonymous with your personal daily victories.
